Perspective or Dreams, Dreams then Perspective?

Which feeds which?

Do I need a perspective on life
to write a poem, an idea to live a dream?
Or should I dream to help gain perspective?

The idea or the angle first?

Did I understand my size
before I was able to do what I did?
Or was I aware of the load I needed to carry
and demanded nothing less from myself?

Things on this unbreakable body
are starting to hurt
and I still do not believe they are meant to;
Never knew this shell as being so fragile.

What is driving the choices now?

What do I want with the time left?

How do I choose to see it all?

Afterall,
I am still out here past my time;
Shouldn’t be here to begin with;
Grateful I even had the chance
