Poem #95 for Audrey Dimola

(not so much written by but transcribed by me)

“Let me just tell you

I try, I really do, but I am like SO busy

but first, let me just tell you,

there is such a human spiritual scientific determination

to consider when you are estimating what your art is worth

Is it worth the tears and blood?

What is the dollar amount you consider your insanity to be worth?

Those are the tough questions YOU need to ask yourself

to deduce what the financial value of your creations are

I NEVER think about that

because I am a TRUE artist

I do it for the love of the creation and not for money

which is why I am saying, telling you, like

I am TOTALLY busy, like (major drugstore) gave me a

MAJOR promotion

I am not making more money but they totally gave me

forty hours a week

they totally trust me now

which, I guess, is like totally making more money in the end.

They are REALLYgood to me so they aremy priority right now.

But, like I said, I am totally liking you and it is not you

you are just not a priority BUT are totally awesome.

I mean, I slept with girls before,

Coco is now my second

and it’s fun and all but I am TOTALLY gay

still totally and that is why I am into you

and I know I know

I Know

that I missed the love I needed from my dad

growing up, wishing we were much closer

and maybe that is why I am SO into Coco

but I KNOW that that is why I am this artist

why I need to refocus my life

why I NEED to be completely honest with you

but please

please please please

do not think ANY of this is about you

it totally is not

I am just too busy, too focused right now

but ask yourself those important questions

you must

that’s how, the only way how,

you’ll ever know what you are worth

and YOUR worth is no more than the worth of your art.”
