forbidden fruit

July 2nd, 2013 § Poem #170 § 0 comments § permalink

Is there room in my plan
for a small piece of the forbidden fruit?
Lines of blue flames that are never to be crossed?
Yet would be so enjoyable if they were to be?

To act on a whim,
to hell with responsibility?
Or stop to find guilt
regardless the circumstance?

I already live in a dreamlike mindset
whether aware of it or not
so perhaps the apple, then,
is simply taboo?

How are consequences really decided
if not by the collective majority of individuals?
Which means morality is a commonly shared opinion?

But why do I have to live by rules I do not believe in?

the edge

July 1st, 2013 § Poem #169 § 0 comments § permalink

living on the edge but not doing anything wrong
question is, how far out does the edge go?

are you willing to walk directly towards the dark clouds
then I invite you to come along with me

are you willing to disregard fashion and make-up
then let’s appreciate real beauty together

are you eager to run far away from the comfort zone
then you I trust to disappear with

are you comfortable not having any answers
then that is a faith I am willing to share mine with

are you willing to walk down wrong, horrible paths
then there is no one better to survive the worse experience with

Are you able to understand that life is just decades of make-believe?
Then you are worth stepping out of this life
and skipping around the world with

it is all your choice
decide and it is simple
we live to exist

old monster habit
That’s easier said than done
say it, and it’s true

another word please
this image has dulled my urge
and taken the soul

jitterbug perfume
sweet scents of dancing first love
pure pulse desire

four tables away
far too busy to notice
we could have been close

i have power to
make you tingle with a word
knowing it’s for you

a little secret

wear a mask
previous sermons are recanted

go out, hide, observe
live as many lives as possible
leave everyone, everything and start over
die and be born only to die

burn the beds

The time has come
blastoff like a sprinter on a kilo of blow
go go go go go go
fuck the consequences
con
sequences
why would the human entity revere such a horrid word

my world keeps on turning
despite my foibles
despite the fuck-ups
despite the wrong turns and wrong choices
the vinyl spins
the music plays
the breathing continues

and now they have arrived
the muses I desired
having done it once again;
the time has come
as it has always wanted
as it has always been
there
just waiting for me to catch up to it?
Or waiting for me to see it?

can’t stop can’t stop can’t think of any reason
to live
which is the perfect secret about life

to live without reason or purpose
to go everyday simply to exist
simply to breathe that air
just be alive in this at this moment
to look around
gawk in wonderment at the seamless harmony
how it all works
how it all just keeps going and staying in place and
getting all convoluted and mesmerizing

The secret of life is to not have any reason to live
so that we might get the most out of life
so that you may appreciate each miniscule detail
and to be alive, truly alive, by choice!

two wonderful feelings

June 27th, 2013 § Poem #165 § 0 comments § permalink

Two wonderful feelings
lust and desire
after being barren for so long
want and fire

to crave a mouthful of intensity
ravenous within primal-human submissions;

the look the turn away the look again
silence
two adults acting coy as children
calloused, afraid of instincts
timid towards sexuality
the very reason for our existence

but those two wonderful feelings
necessary for survival
regardless of intention of path
again inspiring something better
within

lust
desire

the buddha mentality

June 26th, 2013 § Poem #164 § 0 comments § permalink

To be so sure
yet still dare to change

Having the nerve to trust
to walk out into the blinding light
with faith that the eyes will learn to still see

To challenge the certainty

To question truth

To believe in only ambiguity

To settle on a stream

To float and start again

float and start again

float and start again

then

float and start again
