STILL SEARCHING by Anthony Frisina

I started this little book of poetry around 2002, inspired by my friend, Steve Landis, who published his own book of poetry at that time.  It’s now 2015 and it is done!  To be honest, the process took as long as it did because I had not found the opportunity to publish it.  Therefore, I have decided to print my own copies and offer it to you.  50 pages, 24 poems and it’s pocket-sized, 4×6.

Would you like a copy?  As you may know, I am a firm believer in art over commerce.  I feel that if what I create attracts money to it, among other things, than so be it.  But, money is not the purpose of the creation.  With that said, in the spirit of the camino, I offer my first book to you donativo.

One of many mantras on the camino de santiago is if you need, take…if you have, give.

What I have are copies of my book, both in print and .pdf format, and I would like to give them to you.  If you are unfamiliar with the concept of donativo, it’s simple, and follows the format of the previously mentioned mantra:  I do not put a price on what I have to offer.  What is most important is that I have something to offer you.  You may choose to receive the gift or to offer something in return for it, whether it be your own art, food, money…it is all your choice.  Again, what’s most important is that you take a few minutes in your life to read something I created.  It’s entirely up to you and, as always with artnotdebt, all proceeds go the the project.

Postal Mail

Follow these easy steps to receive your poem:

 

1. Get a Check or Dollar Bill(s). (All Currencies Accepted)
2. Get an Envelope. (Additional options are to recycle one from your endless pile of junk mail or make one by taping two postcards together)
3. Get a Stamp. (Small, square, it is a form of payment for real mail. Often found in convenience stores, bodegas or at a United States Post Office)
4. Print out a copy of the Poem Request Questionnaire
5. Assemble–
   • Place dollar and questionnaire in the envelope
   • Seal the envelope
   • Write addresses on envelope as so…

6. Drop the sealed envelope in a Mailbox
7. Wait for your book
8. Celebrate profusely when your book arrives
9. Brag to everyone that you have a book of mine and insist they get one as well
10. Gather everyone you know and throw a poetry party!!!
